About Us

For more than 140 years our church has served the community of Scottsboro,  Jackson County and the surrounding area as a place of worship.  Today we are blessed to be led by Rev. Corey Burns.

We welcome you with opportunities to find spiritual guidance, like-minded friendship and offer something for every age group. From infants to preschoolers to children and youth we have a growing membership with young parents. Our youth group keeps active with trips and activities year-round.  Singles, couples and retired members also have activities suited for their interests.   Mercy Place is a service that is meeting the need of many and is open for anyone - free of charge with supper - every Thursday night  beginning at 5:30.

We have recently joined with Fellowship United Methodist Church to be as one and welcome this new and exciting chapter in our history. Officially known as
The Fellowship Ministry Center of Scottsboro First United Methodist Church
we welcome each member as we go forward together on our journey.
